Dear friends and colleagues,
I would like to ask you, if you could send me a description of an artwork by e-mail,which
has any kind of significance and importance to you. Being in Auckland in New Zealand at
the moment, as an artist in residence, I would very much like to make a collection of work
descriptions by artists, friends and colleagues.
I have observed, how often we refer to a work, having seen it as an original, as a
reproduction or just knowing of it. Since the work we think of can't be always presented,
we start telling each other about a work of art.
All the sent
descriptions will be shown at the Jensen Gallery in Auckland, as a
compilation of works of art, transferred into language,
represented in their absence.
You can write in English, German or French and it would be great, if you could send it to
mailbox@karinsander.de. Your contribution is very
important to me and I would greatly appreciate you
being part of the project.
