In the context of the commemoration of Bauhaus this year, I am telling the paintung "Contra-Composition XVI" by Theo van Doesburg:

A diagonal painting starts with a black triangle followed by a cut square in gray color, then a small white triangle or a cut white square under which is an orange rectangle with a sliced corner and next to it a yellow full rectangle to its right gray, white, blue and dark blue rectangles following, either cut of whole with the largest rectangle of the whole painting in white almost in the middle under which are two different tones of red and a gray and a black and a larger gray and a smaller triangle in darker gray.
